From selling Tacos in a parking lot to a small Mexican food empire, Of All The Gin Joints is a multi-generational saga that tells the story of the Haro family, restauranteurs and film lovers, and how they created a shrine 40 years ago to one of the greatest American movies ever made, Casablanca, that to this day is one of the most popular restaurants in Venice California.

I was the Story Producer, Editor, and creator of Photo Animations for this Culver City Film Festival 2023 Audience Award winner for Best Documentary.

 

I cut a trailer for my friends at Artists4Peace, featured in the October edition of their ever evolving web presence at artists4peace.org, which is full of great material and well worth a peek.

They went fishing and were hit with a hydrogen bomb. In 2019 a group of dancers, artists, writers, and musicians from around the world converged at Tokyo’s Daigo Fukuryu Maru Exhibition Hall to commemorate the lives of 23 fishermen irradiated by the 1954 Castle Bravo hydrogen bomb test.

 

In 1954 23 Japanese men went fishing and were hit with a Hydrogen Bomb. This short film is my tribute to those men and contribution to the Lucky Dragon 5 event at Tokyo's Daigo Fukuryu Maru Exhibition Hall honoring the Japanese sailors and fishermen irradiated by the 1954 Castle Bravo hydrogen bomb test. Performance by Takemi Kitamura, Costume by Nobuko Tsuruta.
